Hey, my name is Tony Carusone, and I’ve been tattooing professionally since April 2018. My main focus is traditional tattooing, the kind of designs that have stood the test of time. I love working with bold lines, solid color, and classic imagery, while still putting my own spin on each piece so it feels personal and original. I also enjoy fine-line black-and-grey tattoos. A lot of my inspiration comes from tattooers who continue to shape and push traditional tattooing today. Artists like Chad Koeplinger, Tim Hendricks, Bert Krak, Jeremy Ross Armstrong, Tyler Baker, and Chris Fernandez have all had a big influence on how I approach design, flow, and longevity in tattoos. At the same time, I have a deep respect for the history of tattooing and the people who built this craft. Legends like Ralph Johnstone, Sailor Jerry, Bert Grimm, Don Ed Hardy, Dan Higgs, George Burchett, and Percy Waters laid the groundwork for everything we’re able to do today, and their work continues to inspire me every day. Outside of tattooing, I’m constantly pulling inspiration from other forms of art. Artists like Frank Frazetta and Robert Crumb have influenced my love for strong imagery, storytelling, and expressive linework, all of which naturally find their way into my tattoos and drawings. When I’m not in the shop, I’m usually spending time with friends and family, hunting for antiques, painting, or getting outside whenever I can. I’m always trying to improve myself, both mentally and physically, and that mindset carries over into my work. Tattooing, to me, is about constant growth, respect for the craft, and creating tattoos that people can be proud to wear for life.
